The branding of the inaugural week long 3rd Singapore Short Film Awards organised by Moving Images, Substation involved the design of the awards ceremony logo, and applying the identity and visual language across all supporting collaterals such as the banners, poster, website and trailer openings. The task was to come up with a set of consistent and modern visuals that strongly represented the values of this award event. Key strategies involved mnemonic factors, combining the key essences of the terms ‘film’ and ‘awards’, crafting into an alphabetical form of a letter ‘S’ in order to represent Singapore cinema and Short films, creating an overall bold and visually arresting identity.
